Steve and his son Tye are great guys. Steve is a master with concrete and an old school tradesman. Shows up on time, excellent work, clean up and a great price.

I was so pleased with the work Steve and his son did at my home. My chimney was falling apart, I was able to get a quote from Steve over the phone after describing the dimensions of the chimney and pitch of my roof. Steve came out within a couple of days to confirm and was back in a week to do the job. I am so happy with the job he did, it looks fantastic and he matched the brick and pattern extremely well, considering the original brick is 57 years old. Everything was cleaned up and taken away. Steve's price was reasonable, and its so nice to find a skilled tradesman that will do a professional job at a fair price.

After receiving a couple of quotes for brick and concrete work on the exterior of our 100 year old house we chose Steve and Mason Restoration to do the work as it was apparent he had lots of experience and gave us the confidence the job would be done professionally. Steve and his son did the job in the time frame he estimated, left the job site clean and tidy and most importantly did a first class job. The front brick work has been restored,broken and cracked bricks replaced with the matching colour and all gaps in the mortar have been filled.
The concrete work at the rear has filled in all the holes and replaces crumbling concrete and bricks where the exterior walls meet the interlocking brick in the yard. The concrete looks great and gives a complete seal to the side and rear of the house. Steve did a few extra things over and beyond his original scope of work at no extra cost, like raising some of the interlocking brick that had sunk down a few inches.
I would highly recommend Steve as not only is his work excellent but he also brings a personal touch that instills confidence. We are planning to have Steve back in new year to do some indoor work and in the spring for some walkway work.

Steve was very professional and personable. I had a couple of areas where the bricks were knocked out and needed to be filled. Steve came by and gave me an accurate estimate and called/emailed the day before the job.

The work was very well done and Steve and his coworker went the extra mile to find any spots that needed brick replacement or repointing to make sure the job was well done. Any mess was cleaned up thoroughly.

Steve and his hard-working son, Tyler, came and did two jobs for me and the result was excellent. Their prices were great, they showed up when they said they would, they work had and do amazing work. I am sooooo happy I found Steve and Tyler and I would use them for any masonry work I have. Come to think of it, they are coming back to tuck point more of my house. I can hardly wait til they come back. I know I sound really enthusiastic, but I am. I have had so many bad jobs done over the year that when I see the real deal, I am appreciative. Oh, and when Steve was here I had an electrical problem in the basement. He took a look himself and then called a friend who was an electrician. The electrician came and solved the problem quite quickly. So, I thank Steve for that too.

There are a number of reasons I am giving Steve M at Mason Restoration 10 stars. I tried to get quotes to get my steps re-done from 8 different places and all the other quotes were either significantly higher or they wouldn’t bother responding at all. Steve came over, we worked through some options, he gave me a quote and we were on our way. Another reason is communication. For example at one point he said he would get bricks to match the front of our house. When I got home, the bricks did not match exactly. In the morning he knocked on my door and told me all the challenges they had in finding something similar and how this was the closest. It didn’t look bad, but he made sure that I was OK with the choice they had made. Now that it’s done, I’m very happy with the work.

I hired Steve to repair and parge the foundation of my house. He gave me a reasonable quote, and did a very professional job. He also cleaned up very well and left everything looking like new.

Steve & Tyler, of Mason Restoration, did an incredible job removing the existing window and carefully removing the bricks below the window to create my back-door. They then proceeded to reuse the original bricks (as I requested) to fill in the gap where the window was. I highly recommend Mason Restoration. Steve and Tyler are polite craftsmen. They completely restored my exterior fire exit, replacing a crumbling wall with concrete blocks. Finished to perfection. Cut and re-installed a fence and created the support for a safety gate. Gave him a print out of the gate and he purchased it on my behalf. Not only that, Steve could just barely access our backyard due to a meter reader almost ripping our roadside gate from the house. He fixed the gate perfectly and adjusted the fence...nothing to do with the job. Their work is awesome!! They're the kind of workers almost unheard of today. If they were working in your house you could give them your house key and leave for work. As honest as the day is long!! It is terrifying these days to hire anyone to work in or around your home due to shoddy workmanship. This father and son duo have renewed my faith in humanity!! We are already planning inside work for them for the winter. Thank you Steve and Tyler!!!!!
