Cross-country move

Would not recommend. A summary of the issues I found is below:
• Delivery driver did not show up the first four times that he said he would - Eventually came 21 hours after he said he would be there, after I pestered him to reschedule 5 times.
• Amount charged was much higher than expected – I received a call the day or two before scheduled delivery with amount of the move. This amount was significantly higher than quote. I understand that this varies and the quote is only a rough estimate. However, I moved out of a 900 square foot, 2 bedroom condo and apparently my items weighed 3,180 pounds which put my total amount (including destination charges, taxes etc.) to over $4000. FYI – Given the challenges of getting this re-weighed and that I needed my possessions, I paid this and did not challenge it.
• Receipt was not provided – I asked for an invoice/receipt before the possessions were dropped off and was told the driver would provide. The driver did not have this. I had to ask over email 7 times in order to get this as their accountant had not prepared it (but somehow were able to tell me how much I owed before this) and then….
• Receipt showed incorrect billing – There was a fee for ‘storage’ even though I had an email from Trillium telling me that it was NOT stored anywhere. Additionally, my quote said I would receive 5 weeks of free storage anyway. After requesting a review, I did receive this storage fee back.
• Items missing at delivery – I let Trillium know via email on the day of my delivery that I was missing a heavy, metal filing cabinet that was about 4 foot tall. I’ve had over forty (40) emails back and forth with Trillium since I told them that it was not delivered. I've done everything they asked including submitting two claim forms, item descriptions, and re-sending chains of emails - Trillium’s only response seems to be to ask me to continue to be patient and wait. It's been over 9 weeks that I’ve already waited and received absolutely no updates on my missing possessions.
• Extra items delivered – On day of delivery I was provided a queen sized mattress that belonged to someone else (clearly marked with different stickers) that I told the delivery drivers to take back. I also received glass table tops and parts of an air conditioner that did not belong to me. I told Trillium this and received no response on it. It seems that they are not interested in returning goods to the right people.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I suspect many of the positive reviews are fake.

Cross country move

In short they moved me across Canada. They lost a cushion from a $5000 leather sectional. They are offering me 35 bucks. The cost of the move was twice what was quoted and wouldn't deliver till I paid. I'd never use them again and if you do your crazy.

long distance move

I cannot stress this enough to people DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for a move. I still haven't received my items yet. They will not give you a date as it based on the drivers schedule. So whenever they feel like giving you back your goods, its up to them. Again, do not use for long distance moves. Quotes are on the low side so be prepared for additional charges.

Moving

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I really don't want to spend too much time even writing about them, but to sum it up, they overscaled my things by 200+ lbs, and even then I am pretty sure my things did not weigh what they said they weigh, when i asked to be present for the scaling, they asked me to pay $200 and only if there were off by another 200lbs would i get that money back, just ridiculous.

Victoria the "planner" really doesn't care much, she confirmed to me by e-mail that my things had departed Toronto in December the weekend after they were picked up. When I arrive in Calgary late January and asked to arrange the delivery, she tells me my things were still in Ontario, and took no responsibility for it, in fact she blames me,, in her exact words: "as making arrangements in advance of not knowing when to expect your items can cause an inconvenience".
When I asked to speak to the manager Kate, I explained what happened, she tells me she will find out what is going on and "call me right back"- NEVER DID. Completely unprofessional, how can you even have the title of a manager?

I know that this company has competitive prices, but I seriously recommend that you go for another one even if it is a little more pricey. The only reason why they are even getting a 1 is for the moving guys in Toronto and in Calgary, super nice and professional, treated me way better than Victoria and Kate.

Moving

I have moved four times in the last three years and this was the easiest move yet. My crew arrived exactly on time, they were pleasant and professional, First of all they stuck all items in our premises and then they loaded on to the trailer. They really did tough job in both side.
It was wonderful having them around, letting them take care of everything that needed to be moved. I am astonished with their careful, professional and affordable service.

Moving

Excellent service from booking through to actual removal with friendly, professional staff who couldn't do enough to help us through the process, The office showed really good customer service with quick quote and constant communication.
I am very happy to recommend them to my friends and all.

Moving

we had such a horrible experience with this company back in October. first we had problem with scaling. first they came with 3260lbs, but we didn't accept it and told them that we will rescaling once we received our items and will legally follow the case. and asked them to send us the scaling ticket. they refused to send it to us but they came with new scaling . this time was 2340lbs. it seems they just switched the first two digits!!. funny. Anyway we had waited for a long time so we just wanted to receive our furniture, so we accepted the new scaling even though we knew it's not accurate either. finally we received our delivery after 3 weeks patiently waiting! our furniture were damaged. even though they had charged us for the plastic wraps, all the wraps was ripped off, and the wooden part was broken. our china was all broken , It seems someone just dropped its box on purpose!. we claimed our damage and after 2 months waiting, they said they will pay us $75!!!they caused over $5000 damages and I don't know how they came up with $75 idea!!!. Don't EVER try this company or you regret.

Cross Canada Move

I was doing a small move but a large distance. 24 boxes (one bedroom apartment, no furniture) from Montreal to Vancouver. Trillium (Victoria being my contact) was able to accommodate the move in short order, though their time of arrival went from 11 pm to 3 am without any notice. Upon arrival, and the only reason they get even one star, the unloaders were marvellous. After I had paid for the move before all the boxes were in my new apartment and was told I had 10 days to inform them of any issues. I noticed right away that 3 items were missing, which is greater than 10% of my shipment. I contacted them right away (within the hour) and was just told to wait to see if they are found, due to the large distance my items went through a couple different warehouses and could be in any of them. So I checked in regularly about the status, continuously (with fairly quick replies) told that "they will contact me if they find them". Note that on the boxes I received some of the shipping tags were missing, and they did not ask me for any identifying information, though I volunteered that after I was continuously getting no updates. Two months later, I still have not received my missing items and only then got informed that the "10 day claim" process involved more than just informing them, despite me asking for details early on. Now I don't expect to ever see my property again, and sure they will lose any loophole to not be required to compensate me for it. Would never recommend to anyone.

Movers

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! The only reason I went with them was because our regular movers were not able to accommodate our moving date but I regret every moment of that decision. We had a very small apartment move and from other estimates we got, it was going to run under $1000 and those who went by weight all gave and estimate of around 2000 lbs. Even Trillium movers gave us the same weight estimate when they came to pick up the load. We did not take out their ridiculously overpriced insurance because it was a small load. Most moving companies offered a blanket coverage of $20,000 for free. Due to the apartment not being ready to move into on the scheduled moving date, we had to reschedule the moving date and were offered up to five weeks of storage for free which we have an email stating this. Once the apartment was ready, we rescheduled the move and we got a call from their office to tell us what the amount of the move was going to be. Not only was I shocked but even the lady who was taking care of this move also expressed her shock at what she read to us as being the weight of our load. It was close to 4000 lbs. A far cry from the estimated 2000 lbs. which their own mover himself estimated. I expressed my disbelief several times but not once was offered a verification of the weight which Lisa, the claims manager, said I would have received if I had any doubt. She can go back and listen to the phone conversation to verify that there was never an offer to reweigh. Not once when I addressed this issue many times to Lisa did she ever address it. I even invited her over to see for herself that it was impossible and this small move could have weighed close to 4000 lbs. She not once took me up on that offer.
When we got our goods moved, so many of the things were damaged. When I told Lisa about this there was never an apology offered. Her comeback was that we never took out insurance with them. I told her that this damage was caused by carelessness and not something insurance needed to be taken out for. Isn't the whole premise of your company is to provide quality of care in moving clients goods? Isn't that also what you build your reputation on? Obviously Trillium doesn't because even after the fact, Lisa's main objective was to still try to sell me their insurance. Not once did she stand behind anything her own staff said to me. As a matter of fact when I again brought up the fact that their own mover estimated the load to be around 2000 lbs., her comeback was that he was not a weigh scale. Wow, what about something called on the job expertise.
We did get some money back for the damaged goods but no where near what it will cost to replace or repair them and nothing was ever offered to compensate for the overcharge of the major weight discrepency. Lisa did not want to address this because she knew it would not come out in her favour. If you read some of the other unhappy clients, you will see that they also had weight concerns. I was not familiar with the protocol and did not know that I could have had them reweigh it at from what I read from previous reviews, at a cost of $200. But as Lisa herself said to me, if I felt any concern, they themselves would have offered to do this, which they did not.
Let me do anyone reading this review a favour and tell you to go elsewhere. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with and Lisa is the most unreasonable, unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. She is not out to give you satisfaction in the resolution of any problems. Her only concern is to hold on to your money. I give this company a big, fat 0.
