Our tenants called us in the early morning hours of December 30th to advise there was no heat in the building... they called me at 230 am.
Ottawa was in a cold snap and the temperature in the building was dropping quickly.
I called the service line / help line at Reliable Home Environment and left a message summarizing the situation... I placed my call at 235 am
Reliable Home Environment called me back BEFORE 245 am and knew who I was and where our rental bulding was located... their first order of business was getting heaters to the tenants such that they would be kept warm while the furnace was being serviced.
They offered to deliver heaters to the tenants immediately... and this was at 245 am!

The furnace was fully tested, the problem diagnosed and quickly fixed. Heat was restored and temperature inside the buidling was back to normal.
While at the rental building, the technician checked all aspects of the heating system from thermostat to air filters. The air filter needed changing and, at my request, the technician went to a local supplier to get a replacement air filter and then install it. I was only charged the cost of the air filter... no hourly charge and no travel charge. Oh, the technician purchased a spare filter for our future use.
Finally, December 30th was a busy day for the heating and cooling companies in Ottawa (the cold snap)... with that and because the technicians at Reliable Home Environment were busy on service calls, the OWNER of the company was the technician who came to our rental building and completed the service call.
