Toronto Renovation Group

I hired this company to renovate and finish my basement.
They extorted more money from me than the job performed, extended the contract from six weeks to almost ten and when I refused to pay more until the job was finished they ran away in my absence and without my consent.
I was left behind with an unfinished basement, lots of construction garbage and had to pay much more money than I expected to finish their dropped job.
Do not deal with dishonest people.

I ran into Robert of Toronto Renovation Group at Home Depot and just asked if he would be interested in fixing a leaky basement washroom for me? What I will say, is this:

I am very happy to have run into Robert. He kept his appointment, agreed to and started the work, but stopped very quickly. Why? You asked?
Robert, suggested that I would be waisting my money trying to fix that washroom and the mould that started to grow in the surrounding walls and under the raised floor. Robert could have just done what he was hired for or walked away, but instead this is what happened:

Since the basement was previously finished but mostly empty, Robert inquired about what I was trying to do. I explained that I am now an almost empty nester and would like to get some rental income to supplant future retirement income. Robert then proceeded to take some measurements; did a walk around and said he'll get back to me.

A couple days later, Robert came back and put forward his ideas and suggestions along with approximate costs. I slept on it for a little while, then called Robert back and was discussing some ideas of my own and he took the time to go through various scenarios with me.

To make a long story short, I ended up hiring Toronto Renovations to redo the basement and it was the best thing I ever did. I now have three bedrooms with very decent sized ensuite washrooms; kitchen; laundry room; reloacted furnace and utility room; brand new ABS plumbing for sewage and a new level concrete floor with tiles / good quality laminate over it.

Was it a bigger job than I planned? Yes
Was it priced relatively a little higher than work I previouslt had done in this home and previous? Yes
Was it worth it? Most definitely!!!

Toronto Renovations is very professional; very skilled; works with you to accomplished what you would like to; provides good ideas and guidance.

Since completion of the basement, I have been renting it to the first people that came to see it and they are still here three years later. They often says when people visits, they always comment on the comfort and layout they are enjoying. Not to mention the warmth during the winter months.

I would highly recommend Toronto Renovation Group for all your renovations need. I almost forgot. I had subsequently called back Toronto Renovation to build a fence and redo my main floor washroom. Once again I was very, very satisfied!
