Greater Toronto Builders

This was a terrible company to work with. Terrible communication once we had signed the contract and money had been paid. We showed up to meetings and they never actually delivered what was expected. Then to add insult to injury every Designer we had left to go to other companies. After the the third left and we found out on our way to the interview we just called it quits. I never really follow up with reviews it’s been a year later and I still think this company is ridiculous in the way they operate. Beware - don’t let confident ‘owners’ fool you. they will not be the ones doing the actual work.

Experience took a dive after I paid the first deposit. Seems incredibly disorganized and none of the employees seem empowered to pick up the phone or return an email themselves, everything goes through the principal.
Because of their lack of communication, my plans are still not approved almost one year after the design was locked. It went downhill fast in January, completely unacceptable, and at this point I'm not beyond the notion of thinking I've been had.
They own multiple companies - GTB, Greater Muskoka Builders, Renowise - all the numbers are disconnected.

GTB promised to get my architectural drawings done in 6 weeks. However it took them 6 months. They took another 2 months to get a survey completed when it was promised in 2 weeks. They still have yet to do the mechanical drawings even though I have paid for them. This organization does not return phone calls or emails.

Hired GTB to complete first floor addition back in spring 2017. Project was not completed in a timely fashion. Payment structure is unfair/unethical. Subtrades threaten to file leans even before substantial completion. Many deficiencies which were corrected by client. Did not meet any of the representatives from GTB other than meeting one coordinator for money/milestone pickup.

We hired Greater Toronto Builders to design and Construct our new kitchen and we could not be happier! The team provided us with exactly what we wanted and it was hassle and stress free. They kept us informed and updated throughout the whole process. We will definitely hire them again when we choose to renovate other areas of our home.

My fiance and I decided to upgrade our current home from a bungalow to a two storey addition and sought out a reliable and strong team that would help us realize our dreams. After searching online and talking to friends, we found Greater Toronto Builders. From start to finish, this team has made our dreams come true with no stress and no worries. My fiance and I now enjoy our beautiful new addition that was on time and on budget! Thank you Greater Toronto Builders.

Buyer Beware! People, do not pay this company until they do the work. I paid them $5000 for drawings in early January and I was supposed to have started construction April 1st. I have received nothing but excuses, delays, and 1 set or terrible initial drawing done by a student! Nobody, including the owner Dara, ever got back to me when they said they would, they refuse to negotiate a refund. I've decided to sue them to get my money back. I'd love to see the excuses and deflection of blame in their response to this comment.

My husband and I just completed a major home renovation in the Avenue Rd and Melrose area, and Greater Toronto Builders were an excellent partner of ours during this process. Our project consultant made the construction experience easy by coordinating a team of builders that were best for us. I am certain that GTB helped us save time and eliminated a lot of aggravation experienced by our neighbours who have tried to "manage" renovations themselves. We are thrilled with the final product. Just walk into their store on Yonge (north of Lawrence, close to the TD Bank) and you will see that you will regret not having gone to these guys sooner for your home renovation. My heros!

Walked in to their offices and easily, simply & excellently had my kitchen and bath renovated. Their Office at Yonge/Lawrence gave me peace of mind and made the design updates and project progress reports easy.
