HC PRECISION AIR

I hired HC Precision Air to move some low hanging ductwork and reroute my cold air return. The work was ok, but I witnessed his team sweeping dirt and debris into my cold air return. Additionally, they left dozens of small sharp sheet metal clippings around their work area. Finally they moved my furnace drain hose from the work area and didnt replace it, causing $373 worth of damage. When questioned about this, the owner said his team didnt know about the damage or the results of moving the drain hose. This is something very obvious that any competent HVAC company should be aware of. I DO NOT recommend Harold or HC Precision Air to anyone.

Harold and his team are true professionals and are incredibly knowledgeable. They were able to quickly diagnose the issues with my system, got us back up in short order, and I feel we received good value for our money. HC Precision Air is our first call for HVAC services and I highly recommend them!

I put in a request to HomeStars to have someone fix my central air conditioning. I promptly received a call back from Harold from HC Precision Air who said he could be there later the same day. Others also returned my call, but I chose Harold based on our phone call and his past reviews. On the phone, he was professional and very clear about his pricing, and what he would look for in his assessment of the problem. It turned out that I needed a whole new air conditioning unit. We talked about options and negotiated a deal on the spot for him to put in a new unit. He started working immediately. He removed the old unit and was back first thing in the morning with a new unit. By the end of the day, I had a new unit up and working beautifully. What I appreciated most about Harold was the following: he was always polite and professional; he was always happy to explain what he was doing and why; he was meticulous in his work and tested everything to make sure it was running as it should; he did an awesome job of cleaning up when done. I highly recommend Harold from HC Precision Air and would definitely call him again in the future.

I needed to redirect a duct in the basement. The job involved removing/disconnecting ducts, waiting for some joist work, and then reconnecting and putting in new ducts. Harold did a good job and worked well with the other contractors doing the joist work.

My only issue was with the lack of upfront clarity on the price; throughout the wait time Harold constantly reminded me that he's only here for 3 hours and would raise the price it took longer. Billing for time is fair but we should be informed at the time of quoting the number of hours included and overtime costs - being told on the job [and constantly reminded] added stress on my side trying to push everyone to work faster. Also when I asked for some additional [minor] work during the wait time, I was reminded again that the price does not include that work even though he was just waiting! He still did it, which I appreciate, but the constant price pressure added stress and didn't feel good.

Overall the work was good and it was completed within budget. It was just more stressful than it needed to be; if we had discussed the price details and alternatives (e.g. leaving early and coming back later) in advance, it would have helped.

We had to upgrade to a larger water heater. Found Harold on homestars. After reading all the great reviews of his business i booked an appointment for a quote. Harold was professional completely knew what he was talking about.
It was very easy to tell that he takes pride in the work he takes on and wants his clients to be happy.
I could not have found a better contractor to do the work we needed. Harold was professional, explained everything about the job, did what he said he would do, his fee was excellent and he left our place so tidy, you would
not know someone removed a water heater and installed a new one.
I would reccomend this gentleman in a minute!
