I have used home stars to check out trades in the past, really sorry I didn't use it this time.
Requested service for my Blomberg washer which was not spinning, dryer which was making a squealing noise when warmed up, and dish washer which has had a bad smell since it was installed in 2019.
Technician could find nothing wrong with dishwasher or dryer, washer needed a part which he said he would order and he would be back the next weekend to install. Immediately after his visit I was billed 50% of the total.
No word from the company for two weeks so I called and was told the part would be in the beginning of the next week. No word the next week so I called and was told they did not know when the part would arrive.
I called the Canadian Blomberg parts distributor and was told that the order for Express service would not be shipped until mid October. Given that information I ordered the part on line myself. Got it in 5 days and called to have the technician back to finish the job. The first thing they asked me when I called and told them I had the part, was did I want to cancel the part they had on order. I said of course. They then said it couldn't be cancelled I would have to pay for it at the end of the month and that they would not be sending a service person out. REALLY.
I have now contacted their office by email and hope that some resolution can be achieved as I am still without a washer.
