Kempenfelt Windows & Doors - Newmarket

The windows and glass sliding doors seem nice. The sales process was a tad dysfunctional, simple questions always seemed to end up with in person visits at their showroom or our place. The install had a bunch of bad caulking which they fixed without fuss a few weeks later. We ordered the windows for the rebate program, they didn't give us the rebate receipt. Had to follow up for it. My biggest gripe is they damaged our floors, said they don't use tape that would do that and they would get back to me. Didn't get back to me until I wrote a poor review. They misrepresented in their response to my review. They eventually contacted me and wanted to meet to discuss. I initially agreed, later declined because it was just more time to a problem that I didn't want to spend and I told them I didn't want another meeting just to hear that they don't use tape that damages. Never heard from them again. When painting a room the windows went in, I learned they also only caulked one side of the windows - the side you can see from the door. They didn't caulk all the way around the frame on the inside. They are simple mistakes but really an awful install job.

Another perfect installation by Kempenfelt! We cannot be more happier with our purchase and installation of our 8'x8' sliding patio door! Mark was very knowledgeable and practical in helping us select the right door based on our budget and the desired look we wanted. The timelines he provided were right on! There were no "unexpected" delays or "supply issues" you may typically get from other vendors (i.e. B**** who promise and DON'T deliver). When it was time to cut the brick, Dave and team arrived on time and got to work enlarging our standard opening to fit the new 8x8 door. It took all day to cut and turn the outside bricks. They did an incredible job setting the bricks to appear as if the opening was always there! They cleaned up at the end of the day and removed all debris. The next day, the slider arrived for installation. The team took great care to ensure minimal dirt and disruption. They carefully removed the old door and installed the new one perfectly! If anything would go wrong it would be during the install, HOWEVER, everyone involved was super professional, curious, punctual and answered all questions. The new door fit like a glove! Everyone was top notch! Without a doubt we will go back to Kempenfelt for our future window replacements!

Our home is approx 22 yrs old so it was time to upgrade ( drafts) . I wasn’t super enthused about the prospect as it seems like lots of money for something I take for granted.
The quality of the doors is amazing. Clean finish ( no screws or other messiness). Hardware is solid and looks so amazing.
Installers are very polite and floors are protected as well as existing mouldings.

After much research decided to go with Kempenfelt to replace my Garage door, garage door opener, front door, garage entry door, cut out my back slide door/window/wall and replaced it with a 12’ slider. Can I say how much I LOVE all my new doors and the ever so quiet garage door opener. The kempenfelt crew was so friendly, respectful, professional and so clean!! They did an amazing job! The team of Andrew, Mark and Josh that came to install three windows were amazing. They were very professional and worked non stop to provide such great service. The final product was so worth the wait!!! The team was very respectful of the work environment and my home and cleaned up after. There was no mess afterwards, and they took the time to show me the install process, the final product and how to use/clean the new windows. I was also thoroughly impressed with Scott the salesman, who showed up half way through the install to make sure I was pleased with the product and work crew. It also impressed me that he bought the crew Timmies....they were working on one of the hottest summer days of 2021!! I would definitely recommend Kempenfelt Windows to anyone needing an update.

Mark from Kempenfelt came by and took his time to explain our options. He left us with the information and while checking in never pressured us to make a decision. Once we decided we went to the showroom where he showed us how everything worked. This week the doors were installed and the team was courteous and did a great job installing the doors. They look great and we are so happy of the choice we made to use Kempenfelt Windows and doors

I needed a new bathroom window replaced and called several companies and no one would do just one window.I called Kemperfelt widows and sales rep was here in 3 days. He explained my options and chose one identical to existing one. The crew came at 9 am and completed it in two hours cleaning up the mess. Very happy with this company.

I hired this team to change my 70 year old door ,
The sale team and messurment team follow the same hinge side of an existing door which belonged to 79 years ago without my confirmation .

This company tells me it is up to client to tell which hinge side the door should be and if you failed to tell them they will follow whatever the existing is , not even bother to ask ,

It’s so easy and lazy of them to say we as professional 30 year old door team will not ask , nor confirm which hinge side should the door be , you as a client should have told us what to do .

This is pretty obvious that was neglected from both side me as a client and them as a professional team , and in the end I was paid with my negligence and they leave with a sorry !

I will leave the judgment to you as reading this review , at least do not forget to ask and confirm your hinge side otherwise no one would take the responsibility,

Kempenfelt Windows & Doors were terrific. From my first meeting with Mark to installation and beyond, top notch customer service. They worked with me to make my ideas come to life. The workmanship is amazing. The installation crew were great too. It was nice to hear the encouragement and praise the senior two gave to the other worker. They discussed and explained to me what they were doing and made sure I was okay with minor adjustments that had to be made to make it work. My experience with Kempenfelt was very professional from beginning to end. I would recommend Kempenfelt to anyone considering purchasing windows or doors and I will certainly call them for future projects.
