Action Home laid flagstone on the porch and in front of the house and did a great job doing so. I had shopped around quite a bit, gotten other 4 quotes, theirs was the lowest. When we made the deal, John came by and we discussed in a lot of detail the project. He was very helpful and even made his recommendations on what we should and should not do. What I liked in particular was the fact that one of his suggestions actually made the job cheaper than what I had initially intended to do. That tells you a lot about their professionalism, that they take pride in doing a proper job and are not only after your money. Nick, Anton and Sasha did the actual job and communicated with me at every step of the way in order to make sure the final result was what I wanted. The end product is excellent and meets all our demands.

We shopped around for replacing our double front doors, talked to several service providers and got estimates. New Look Windows & Doors was able to provide us the lowest estimate and the best customer service . We had several (long) discussions with Alex, he was the consummate professional all along, took us through a lot of door designs they provide and helped us make our mind on the best option. The installation was a breeze and the final product met all our requests.

Update Oct 12: Alon contacted me and assured me they would respect the contract warranty. A few days after, contractors showed up and fixed the gate to my expectations. They deserve a 10 for the service I received after Alon got involved, However, I have to take into consideration the poor service they provided before that, so I'm going with a 8. I had fence and gate completed by Can Do last summer, with a 5 year workmanship warranty. End of August the gate has sagged and screws came off, also the wood beam attached to the side of the house has partially detached. I have been calling them for a month now, at some point I got a call back from customer service (Fran ) who asked me to send pictures. I did so, but then never heard anything back. The last two weeks, I have been calling them every other day, nobody answers, left messages, nobody calls back. In the meanwhile, the gate fell down completely. Now, I have to go to another contractor and pay money which should be covered under this company's warranty.

My furnace blower motor wouldn't stop when the thermostat sent the disconnect signal, so the only way to stop it was to switch the whole thing off from the main switch. I did a search on the Home Stars web site for “Heating & Air Conditioning” companies rated 10 stars. I chose Reliable Home Comfort because I liked the reviews and I also liked and decided to try their “TroubleFree” Comfort Protection. I called Dave and he explained in a no-nonsense and straightforward way how that works. He sent two technicians Jaime and Rob, very knowledgeable, polite and patient with all my questions. They found the problem in a matter of minutes, the control board had blown because of water leakage from the poorly insulated AC copper pipes done by the contractor who initially installed the furnace. They also found that I actually had no heat either because of the blown board. The very next day they came back with a new board, installed it, fixed the faulty insulation, did a thorough inspection of the whole furnace and gave me tips on simple “do-it-yourself” maintenance tasks that will help with my furnace’s life. And all this at a VERY reasonable price. I will recommend this company to my friends and colleagues and I will definitely ask for Jaime and Rob next time I have HVAC problems.
