Interiors By Better Shade

I went to Better Shades when my daughter asked me to get her a blackout blind for her bathroom. John was really great to work with. I chose options I didn't even know they had. After shopping around, their price was $200 less than their competitors! Thank you for making my life easier!! I can hardly wait to see it!

Shutters ordered September 29 2021.
Promised them in 4 wk installed in 7wk
They are terrible, flimsy, not rigid they sag so badly that we physically have to grab them on the sides to lift them up to open or close them. I expected to be able to open and close them without grabbing the outside edge and physically lifting them up to open and close them.
And the louvres dont close properly.
Dave came out on December the 2nd to address the problem with a square and level. He put the square on the window frame stated, there is your problem the frame isnt square. I put the square on the shutter to show him IT wasnt square because they arent rigid and sagging therefore not closing properly. I lifted the open side of the shutter so that it was square and tried to show him that the shutter in this position closed easily. He totally ignored me
The louvres also dont close properly
Raising his voice saying what do you expect me to do you just don't like them but you are not getting your money back
I stated that yes you are right, they dont work properly and they dont look good as the louvres dont line up properly so fix them or give me my money back.
I guess using bullying to intimidate, especially older people, who arent happy with their shoddy workmanship works for him.
He stormed out snarling, you're not getting money back.
Feb 10th a person came to pick up the shutters from the tv room and to adjust the other ones.
I stated that we had issues with all the shutters and showed him they had to be physically lifted to open or close them, the louvres didnt close properly or evenly.
Looking at them he took them all off. Returning Feb 14 reinstalled all but couldnt adjust them taking one back to the shop
March 21st the last shutter was reinstalled. However they all still dont close properly and the louvres dont close properly.
6 mths later calls + service calls they are still not acceptable

Had an issue with my purchase 14 months after purchase and it was rectified immediately and with good will on behalf of the staff. Thank You.

I'm very pleased with the sun screen shades (roller blinds) that I purchased from Interiors by Better Shades. The staff who came and took measurements were very thorough. The installer was very professional and worked efficiently. I ordered blinds for 2 windows, one measuring 8ft wide x 5 ft high and the other measuring 7ft wide x 4 ft high. I felt that I got good value for what I paid. After a year of having my blinds, I can say that i have no issues at all. My only concern initially was the plastic pull chains and how durable they are. But so far no problems after opening and closing them every day for the past 12 months. Thanks for great service and a great product! And I'm happy to support a local business!

John and Jordan both assisted us in purchasing a Natuzzi sectional and were extremely helpful and patient... we were at their store a couple of years ago but decided to wait on making a purchase. In each visit to the store every staff member made themselves available to answer questions to us! They were also helpful with the pricing of the sectional which was important to my wife and I, we are left with the sense of getting a fair price. We shopped around at other furniture places and Interior By Better Shades really stuck out at the best store. We are very pleased with the service there and look forward to getting our sectional!

TERRIBLE experience with purchase of shutters. Reading some of the negative stories is EXACTLY the experience we had. I wish I would have seen them prior to calling them. Reading some of the negative feedback it was like reading our own story. Great initial contact and customer service. On install day, 2 shutters were installed incorrectly and one was even forgotten. 3 months later, they still haven't sorted our. The owner even tried to blame us for their mistake and yelled at my wife on the phone. I can't believe they are still in business.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Our experience was not good at all. We didn’t have the blinds as we chosen. It took them six weeks to install the blinds. When we discussed the mistake they made by installing the wrong blinds, they were very unprofessional and gave different excuses, not to admit their fault.
Overall, I would not recommend this
company for their services. They are incredibly not honest and unprofessional.

I was hoping not to have to write a negative review, I really gave the owners over 2 weeks to at least call to see how they could have given us a better experience? it took the installer over 3 visits, returning the product every time, blaming the workshop for not following the measured instructions. Three times for us to take down our current window coverings and hang them back up, three times to take time off work. Two phone calls were made to express our concerns, asking to hear back from the owner once he returns from his holidays.. they got their money, and no follow up made. We have our product in place, and although our window coverings are "esthetically pleasing", let's just say, they are not the quality we were expecting. We were hoping the owner would have at least called to offer "some incentive" for our inconvenience, I guess this is as far as their "customer service" goes!
