Marquis Capella Gas Insert

We added a gas insert inside an old wooding burning fireplace. We had limited space in height, and Ron was able to give us recommendations on which unit will work best for our needs. We didn't go to the store at all! Ron came to the house the same day we called and with the brochures and online information, we had all we needed. We went with the Marquis Capella since it fit and we were able to get the upgrades we wanted (rocks and clear view kit). In order to run a gas line to the unit, Ron recommended going from the outside to avoid causing damage to the newly finished walls. They also recommended getting our chimney cleaned before install so there wouldn't be any surprises when it comes to debris falling during installation. The installers were professional and efficient. I called in to the store to pay by credit card and 50% was taken before install, and the balance after install was completed. Ron even came by after the install to check on the work and make sure we were happy with everything.
The only negative is that I needed to call in to the store to confirm the measurement of the unit (before install) in order to cut the cement board opening to the correct width and height. I'm glad I did since the original measurements given would have worked but would have left too much of a reveal that the tile would not cover.
I would highly recommend Marsh's!!

Fixing of CO problem with gas fireplace

I made the mistake of hiring a gas / fireplace service company to clean our eleven year old gas fireplace that was installed by Marsh's. During the cleaning, this company detected a CO problem, but was not able to resolve the issue and recommended that the entire firebox unit be replaced. This would have been very expensive. .... I then called March's Stoves & Fireplaces and spoke with Ron and he promptly provided highly skilled personnel (John, Ian) to assess and correct the CO issue with minimal expense. I greatly appreciate the excellent customer service provided by March's and would recommend them to everyone.

Fireplace replacement

We had a particularly tricky fireplace replacement due to location of the existing unit. Resolution required some creative problem solving. Alan came up with a few solutions and working collaboratively, we agreed on an installation which was overseen by Alan. When some other issues arose post-installation, Alan stood by his work and went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied. He was always available to take my calls, answered my emails, adjusted the job estimate when originally quoted work was not required in the end, made visits to the house and helped us out when we faced some jams. How many business operators do that today? There's a reason Marsh's has been in business for decades. We are repeat customers; that says it all!

New gas fireplace

We had an old fireplace in our living room that was not usable, and had wanted to get it converted to a gas fireplace. Unfortunately our options seemed very limited when we first set out to research the possibilities since our fireplace opening is quite small. We visited Marsh's showroom and were recommended a model that could work. We set up a date for the estimator to come by and take measurements, and once we approved the quote, the work was scheduled. Their team installed the new insert in an afternoon, a few days before the Christmas holidays. We were delighted to have a cozy fireplace to spend time around during the holidays, and it works great, radiating nice heat. Really happy with our new fireplace, and it doesn't look like a retrofit- feels natural.

Gas Fireplace Insert installation

We contacted Marsh's Stoves on a friends recommendation to replace a wood burning fireplace with a gas insert. We were initially told it would require some holes in our basement ceiling to be able to get the gas to the proper location. In the end, they were able to get the gas connection through the finished ceiling without any holes! We were really pleased with that trick plus the excellent workmanship and courtesy of their team. Have had the gas fireplace now for six months and couldn't be happier.

Install electric fireplace and repair existing gas fireplace

My contractor recommended that I contact Marsh's when I wanted to buy a new electric fireplace. And our condo required a repair to an existing gas fireplace too. The owner, Alan, could not have been nicer. He was fair, knowledgeable and full of suggestions. I am very particular and he was extremely patient with my requests. Also, I should mention that Ian, the serviceman, was extremely nice and helpful too. I would definitely recommend them. This company believes in the old adage "service with a smile" which I find is so lacking in businesses these days.

Service for Gas Fireplace

Marsh's has installed 2 gas fireplaces for me and their service is always prompt, courteous, and expert. Ian, the person who came out to check on a problem with the upstairs fireplace was very professional, courteous and very thorough in checking for the cause of the problem. I have never had any worries dealing with this company; they care about providing their customers with excellent service all the time!

A Canadian woodstove in Ireland

Many years passed and we were in the market for a new woodstove to bring over to Ireland to heat the property we had purchased and were intending to renovate on the seacoast in Kerry. We went to several places and remembered that we had bought from Marsh’s almost 30 years previously. The Regency line is what we had looked at elsewhere and when it came to the deal they were by far and away the best in pricing. We were also sold because of their expert knowledge (esp. that of Robert with whom we dealt with) of their products and willingness to share this with us to make an informed decision. They have been in business for over 68 years and have staff that have been with them from the beginning which tells you that the employees have been valued for their capacities and have stayed to make this enterprise such a professionally run success. The genuine congeniality of the founder Richard and his staff, Austin, Allan -Richard’s son in law and wife (Richard's’s daughter) Joanne, as well as Robert creates a most welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for the customer. Also so appreciated was their service from Austin’s delivery to our container for shipping to when I came back from Ireland and needed some very specific nuts for a collar for the chimney that were lost during the new build, Allan, instead of sending us away to Home Depot, took what we needed off an existing stock item rather than ordering for us, obviating a further trip into pick them up-I can’t say how much that consideration meant to me, on a tight schedule to get everything done before going back. To Richardk and all - MARSH’S “GO BRAE” (Irish for “forever”!) and gor meille m’agat
