M&R Roofing

First, Maciej did the most careful inspection of our roof prior to giving an estimate. He actually indicated we could put off the shingle replacement for a couple of years, which of course inspired confidence, as it was clear he wasn't using the process to make a quick sale. Eventually, we signed on to do the deal. The one issue I have with the company is that communication wasn't the greatest prior to the first day of the company's arrival, but once the job got started, the crew put in long high-energy days until the job got done. The crew was unfailingly polite and attentive not just to our questions and concerns but also to those of our neighbours. We're in a row of century-old townhouses, with our roof connected to neighbours', so their attention to the social configuration was good to see. Another difficulty of the job was that M&R had to remove 3 layers of shingles as well as the original slate covering on a relatively small property with confined space to move. M&R pulled off (so to speak) this part of the job with efficient precision, as they have in so many other locations in old Toronto. Clean-up after each day of a messy 3-day job was thorough, and much appreciated. I would very strongly recommend M&R to anyone looking for a roofer.

I contacted M&R Roofing re a leak into a one room addition. The leak was occurring at the point where the single storey addition meets the two storey house. I ended up with new roof at a cost of $2000 even though the replaced roof was less than 10 years old. However, the leak persisted. M&R did not stop the leak, respond to my complaints other than to state that perhaps the problem was never the roof but the siding on the wall that meets the roof.
Subsequently I contacted a reputable roofer who did a proper water test and determined that the leak was around the window on the wall connecting the addition to the house. This reputable roofer who did a proper investigation waterproofed the wall, sealed around the window properly, water tested the finished work and solved the problem. So much for M&R Roofing - no investigation and a new roof with the problem remaining. Follow up was pathetic. M&Rs guarantee applies to the roofing job - not to eliminating the problem. I had to send my husband to the office several times before the brother on the road bothered to contact me, admit the problem may not have been the roof and do nothing. He stated the roof would not have lasted the winter if it were faulty even though we'd never had a leak during the winter. The leak had only occurred when heavy rain hit the roof at a certain angle. So much for investigation and follow up.

I needed work done on my roof and had several quotes. I found a review that stated the M&R were contracted by a lot of the major roofers. I decided to contact them. They did a wonderful job with all aspects of the work. They were polite and were very efficient. They made sure the site was clean after the job was finished.

We recently had our roof re-shingled and it now looks perfect!
It was a job well done, and in a timely fashion. The workers were courteous, started early and worked hard until the job was complete. The clean up daily was like they had not been there! I would highly recommend M & R--a very professional company

Madiej and his crew came when they said, worked late to get the job done in two days, and came back to make some adjustments as required. Their estimate was very reasonable and thousands less than others we received.

M&R did a fantastic job on the roofing of our downtown home. The M&R team were very personable and professional. Maciej prepared a detailed and easy to read quote for us. M&R replaced the shingles on our pitched roof, removed an old roof deck and replaced the flat roof beneath it, and replaced 3 skylights. When replacing the flat roof, they found that the rafters were in poor condition, emailed photos, and re-constructed them at a very reasonable cost. They provided (and stuck to) a detailed quote, worked quickly and professionally and finished the work on schedule. They were neither the highest nor lowest quote we received, but we are happy that we chose to work with them.

M&R roofing were very professional throughout the process of our roof repair. The estimate quote was detailed and thorough. Since we had an issue with our roof leaking M&R roofing were able to schedule our roof repair before initial estimated date and the work was done quickly and efficiently. After completion of the job the site was left spotless. Very satisfied with final result, highly recommended.

were professional.
I want to give special praise to Maciej, I had previous issues with other contractors so I was admittedly a pain in the butt. Any items were quickly addressed and completed.
