Very professional, excellent communication, and solid post cleaning report leaving me comfortable on a job well done. Only complaint is the before pictures were very poor as the flash was concentrated on a beam leaving the rest of the picture dark and difficult to see the dirty area's. That said the after pictures were done right. Overall very satisfied.

My daughter suffers from a mold allergy and I'm heavily pregnant. We live in a 130 year old house which has had many quite serious mold infestations (the toxic black stuff) and required tens of thousands of dollars of remediation (and further reconstruction) work. How I WISH I'd known about Ross years ago. After opening up a piece of drywall in the ceiling of my daughters' room yesterday for an unrelated reason and finding black and pink mold (and old plaster and lathe, insulation and all that goes into a house like ours over the decades) we panicked. Luckily I thought of looking on homestars and came across Ross. I called Kay this morning and within a few hours, Ross was at our house reassuring us that the entire ceiling and everything in it (a very messy and $$ job) did not need to come down. He advised us on how to clear it up ourselves and though I wanted air testing etc he explained why that was not necessary. Because it was my daughters' room in particular and she has medical issues and I was clearly panicked I would have been THE easiest target (and it's very likely that I have been in the past) - Ross could have very easily sold me on a full gut of the ceiling or even the room. I am so relieved!! After undergoing so many renovations in our house and rarely finding a trustworthy expert I KNOW that I will use Ross from now on when mold rears its ugly head (and it surely will in this place). I unreservedly recommend him - do yourself a favor before getting caught up with other companies who will take you for a bundle, do call The Mold Guy.

Called the Mold Guy after reading the reviews. We had mold in the basement of our rental property, we wanted an air quality test and make sure it was safe to rent because it's an old house. Talking to lovely Kay and having Ross came to the house the next day. Ross came to the house on time and did the inspection, he gave us a list of things to do and did not try to sell us on work we didn't need. He is professional and wonderful as he explained everything to us. We had some issues to take care of and when we finished the work, Ross came back and did the air test. Everything passed. We needed some mold removed from my attic. Mold Guy came out the very next morning and had the attic mold free and spotless within 4 hours. Teriffic service and amazing job. Highly recommended!!!

We are a Renovation company named D4L Inc. We have used Ross and crew for many of our projects. They are reliable, honest and trustworthy company. The crew is easy to get along with and they take pride in cleaning up after themselves in every job. Before and after photos and the Mold removal document they give after every job is comforting to clients who are physically unable to see any completed attic jobs. From an attic FULL of black mold, to an attic looking brand new, The Mold Guy saved the day!!!! Upon selling our seven year old home, the home inspector found quite a bit of mold, and remediation/removal was required in order for the sale to be completed. We called a remediation company referred by a friend whom gave us three options: 1) paint our entire attic with a special white removal paint (approx $5k, also making mold issue very apparent to future buyers) 2) remediation, taking 4 weeks and $40k or 3) removing and replacing full roof. He recommended option 3. We were devastated to say the least. Our home was quite new and we were absolutely unaware of the issue. Now it could cost us a huge sum of money and most probably interfere with the sale of our home. I started to google mold removal before and after pictures and stumbled upon 'The Mold Guy' on Homestars. I couldn't believe my eyes - could they really removal all the mold and have the attic looking like it never was there? I called Kay, in tears, pretty much hysterical. She calmed me down, explained the full process, and promised to send some guys to do the work over the long weekend, on their day off! Her men came and were prompt, curtious, professional and cleaned the whole attic in 4 hours!!!! And the attic seriously looks brand new! More importantly, they found the cause of the mold issue (lack of ventilation) and fixed it for free! We went from pricing out a new roof at $25000 to simply having hold removed for $2000.
