Contacted Westside Drainage based on their excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Carlo was able to come at short notice due to a drainage emergency I was having and quickly assessed the situation and provided some immediate temporary solutions. He committed to a date to begin repair work within a few days to investigate further and put In the permanent solution. I found him to be very knowledgeable of his trade, open, honest and reliable with a drive to understand the whole picture to get the right solution. The final cost of the work came in significantly lower than his initial estimate as he discovered he could perform repairs in a more cost effective way based on further discovery. I recently bought a home in Vancouver and it was clear there were drainage problems and I had concerns about flooding. The previous owner did some creative fixes that made things worse and I was worried about potential impact. I reached out to Carlo and he came out to scope the existing drain tiles and tell me what needed to be done. He put me at ease and explained / showed me exactly what the problem was and the solution. He gave me a schedule of when the work can be started, and we agreed on a date.

We called Carlo on a very busy day for assistance with a backed-up drain-line that flooded part of our house. He arrived very soon after our call (even faster than promised), and quickly determined the source of the problem. He stayed on site until city engineers arrived, so he could personally report his findings to them. He called back later to check up and see if everything was OK, and gave us good advice for follow-up actions. We would definitely use his services again, and recommend him to others.

Carlo is a very knowledgeable and experienced contractor. We wanted to work with him because of his reputation as someone who will address problem areas and not automatically suggest and entirely new system be installed unless it is warranted. Carlo conducts a thorough assessment and provides a report identifying location of sewer line and location of sump, which was hidden under a basement subfloor. This information will be very helpful if future work ever needs to be done. I would not hesitate to recommend Westside Drainage to friends, family and neighbours.

We wanted to have our home inspected for any foreseeable drainage problem as our home is 53 years old. After searching for a professional drainage company and reading the good reviews for Westside Drainage, we gave Carlo a call. A drain tile video camera was used for inspection.
A collapsed drain tile was seen, and water was building up in the area against the basement wall. Carlo repaired this problem. We were very pleased with Carlo's work. He is very professional and friendly and advised us in detail of the process of his work. We would recommend Carlo without hesitation if you want excellent work. We were very happy.

Carlo was helpful and professional right from the get-go. We had a quote from another company during heavy rains. Carlo was super busy but took the time to check the site out on Google maps to get an idea of what was happening. He gave us a temporary fix solution to hang tight during more rain whilst he was still busy with other projects. It fixed our problem right then and there, without any more flooding!

After a heavy rainfall, we discovered water coming into our basement. We suspected that it was likely our drain tiles. Based on the positive Homestars reviews, we decided to call Westside Drainage to check our drainage. Carlo promptly did a thorough assessment with a video scope of our drain tiles. From the assessment, he clearly described the problems that he found and recommended isolated repair of the problematic corners of our house. After agreeing to his recommendations, Carlo efficiently completed and tested the repairs with incredible expertise and professionalism. I would definitely recommend him anyone with perimeter drainage issues.

Carlo knows his stuff. He doesn't offer the free inspection like some other contractors, but he does not over charge. He correctly found the problem at inspection and then when it was nearly the best case scenario during the repair, he lowered the estimate accordingly. It's easy to rate WestSide Drainage with 5 stars.

Water issues in the basement meant investigation had to be done. 1st order of action was to check the drain tiles. Spoke to Carlo and he came out to scope out the system. He quickly found A) the Drain tiles needed to be flushed out as they had never been done & B) when the house was built 30 years ago certain areas were not done properly. The sump pump area pipes were not at the correct heights and needed to be fixed as this contributed to the standing water problem in the Drain Tiles. Made the arrangement for Carlo to come and correct the level of the pipes - which he did. I found him to do good work, showed up when promised, work was done within the quote and he offered excellent suggestions on the next step on to attacking the water problem. He offers solid help in getting contacts for helping to do the next step. I would recommend this company as all work was done as promised and there were no issues.
