All around disappointing from sales to completion. Communication problems from the get go. Sales, installation manager and installers were never on the same page. 1 week late for installation,came in on friday 3pm and removed carpet and left us for the weekend without 2 floors of our house. brought 5 guys with a variety of experience and it shows in the number of duplicate boards in each room. Sales guy was on vacation for installation so no one really to talk to about issues or concerns. Broke trim throughout the site on both floor board and door trim. Addition charge of 1000$ to rip out K3 floor board that was damaged. it took the crew ~1 hr to complete this. No walk around after job was completed. Left the site by saying with "this is all we are contractually obligated to do". Took me 2 days to clean up after the work was done due to marks and scuffs in every room they worked in. Overall this was a nightmare and i would not suggest even getting a quote from them, the sad thing is we used them from a professional recommendation.

The workmanship on the kitchen was "rough" with our new cabinetry being cut without our consent to slip in the tiles rather than cutting the tiles to fix.
The hardwood floor have to redone again after we pointed our the nail holes were not filled all along the walls, scratched from the polisher evidenced, and our newly painted walls marked from the equipments and deep marks on our kitchen tiles from the hardwood floor equipments just dropped on carelessly on it. CDL solution is not to charge us for the transition strips (3 of them) & that our house was under construction so things like that happens. In other word, they are NOT responsible. We were living in the basement during the renovation, so I gave them the heat, under construction means no one living in the house, & even if it was under construction, they are paid to make sure installation is done properly and to their proposed standard. The hardwood guys even poured their chemical down our brand new sink coating it with the sealant used. There was no supervision on any of CDL work done, it was left to whoever they sub-contracted to. If there are problems, CDL was quick to point the fingers. So beware. The only thing good that came out of this renovation is an excellent tile work on our backsplash & bathroom.
There was also too much tiles ordered based on CDL measurement but they took them back to avoid further dispute with us, citing they were short of that particular tiles for another project. Even the final billing was calculated wrong!!
Be prepare for a lot of grief when using this company unless you are doing the work yourself or have your own contractors. Not recommended for anyone who has not renovated before.

My sister and I purchased our flooring from CDL at their NW Calgary location. We had a major concern that the flooring would have to withstand the heat from in-floor heating and we were planning to use a laminate. Based on the recommendation from CDL who recommended an engineered floor we went with a Dansk hardwood product. Since the installation a year later the wood has started to shrink and the edges of the planks have started to curl up. CDL would not stand behind their recommendation or flooring warranties and their only advise was we needed to increase the humidity in the house. The house is located next to a lake, the humidifier is set similar to our Calgary homes - this is not an acceptable resolution and now we are looking at having to replace all the flooring. We would not recommend or use this business again.

We just finished renovating our home. I would highly recommend CDL!!! From the time that we walked into the show room until the carpet was installed, it was extremely smooth. We were given guidance as to color choices, they explains qualities of carpets, and the rug layers (there were 4 men) were exceptional. Extremely professional, they 100% knew what they were doing. They came to the house, not much talking, just installed the carpet. They were very focused on the job. I do not work for that store, so this is not a sales pitch, just a truly happy customers! Through all our renovations for the past few months, this was the only company that ran 100% right. You will be truly happy with their service and their quality of workmanship. Thank you greatly!!!

CDL (Beacon Hill) recently helped us replace the carpeting in our entire house. In short, our experience with CDL was excellent. Neil (our account manager) and his team communicated and worked patiently with us over a period of 6 months, and they made sure that the entire process was smooth and all the details were carefully taken care of. We always got the sense that they were very honest and transparent. We are very appreciative of CDL's help because they helped to make what might have otherwise been a stressful experience as easy as possible for our family.

Neil and Darrin worked with us very patiently throughout the process. They listened and understood what we needed, and they gave us excellent recommendations on what carpets to consider and how much carpeting we should order to avoid waste and still have enough. They returned our calls promptly and followed through with every contact, task, and step along the way, including checking in on us (both by phone and in person) after the job was finished to make sure that we were still completely satisfied.

Alfredo and Allan were very professional and efficient, and more importantly, they always took great care around our house, treating it like their own house. It is also obvious that they are very passionate and knowledgeable about their craft.

I hired CDL to remove old carpet and install new carpet in my house. Not only did I receive exceptional customer service from the Manager, I had new carpet delivered and installed by an incredibly professional installer, who went above and beyond to make sure carpet was installed properly, and perfectly. I am definitely going to go to CDL for any future flooring needs. They have my trust.

We used CDL flooring when replacing our kitchen and front entry way flooring. We found the staff knowledgeable, but not always polite. We found what we were looking for and once ordered it took almost 2 months to have it installed. We replace the kitchen with laminate and the front entry way with tile. They completed the laminate in the kitchen, yet the didn't order enough tile to complete the front entry way and it took over 6 weeks for someone to come back to finish the job. Once completed, we were very happy with everything, but we were very disappointed with the time it took to complete and the customer service in which we received.

We had some old carpet replaced, and new carpet in the basement. The quotes were reasonable, and the installers were good. Overall a good experience. I would recommend them and use them again. Installers we best the first time around, but quality of work was good both times.

I was quoted 2-3 days for the installation of hardwood floor. I arranged for the job to be started on a Wednesday so that it would be completed for the weekend. It took 2 weeks to complete the job. The work was done in the kitchen area which meant I had no cooker for the first weekend and was effectively living in my basement(which is cold). There were various reasons for the job not being completed on time: workers not turning up on time, a worker being ill and having to finish early, not enough materials ordered for the job, plumber not turning up when arranged. I have spoken to customer services at CDL but am not satisfied with the response I got, which was basically an apology. I had anticipated that they would have offered some form of compensation for the inconvenience they had caused. I wrote a letter to the manager on 28th June 2012 but have not received a response. I think the standard of work is good, but not their customer service.

This company is efficient and installs either for the homeowner or as a subcontractor. friendly service and explained what they were doing each step. reat prices and great value for anyone.
